Basketball Recap: Crossroad Academy Wins Going Away Against Munroe

Crossroad Academy had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Munroe on Saturday. The Crossroad Academy Scorpions blew past the Munroe Bobcats 51-31. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-11.

When it comes to explaining why Munroe lost, don't look at Isaiah Wright. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 8 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Yun Adger, who posted seven points.

Crossroad Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Munroe, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

Crossroad Academy and Lincoln will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crossroad Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Munroe, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Munroe Bobcats challenge the Godby Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Munroe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season.
