The Boca Raton Bobcats will square off against the West Boca Raton Bulls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Boca Raton not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 14th. They blew past Royal Palm Beach 7-1.
Chase Walls spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Dylan Zidar and Jordan Davis did most of the damage at the plate: Zidar scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Davis scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Davis has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aidan Donnelly, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Boca Raton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Olympic Heights by a score of 4-1 on Monday.
Gavin Russell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because West Boca Raton is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alejandro Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Derek Godfrey was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
West Boca Raton's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Boca Raton, their win bumped their record up to 5-18.
