Woodcreek waltzed into their game on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Heritage Patriots 13-1. Considering the Timberwolves have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Maryn Macneil made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Darcy Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Emily Cser was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Woodcreek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Woodcreek's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Woodcreek and Heritage will both be playing Damonte Ranch the next time they take the field. Heritage will head out to face Damonte Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while Woodcreek will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
