Basketball Recap: Hackberry Comes Up Short

Hackberry was the 52-40 winner over Starks when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 55-49 to the Panthers on Tuesday.

Hackberry's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 17-17. As for Starks, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-11.

Hackberry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-47 win against Johnson Bayou on the 5th. As for Starks, they have also already played their next matchup, a 61-40 defeat against Merryville on the 5th.
