Southern Lehigh gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Jim Thorpe Olympians with a sharp 3-0 win. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Olympians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Southern Lehigh was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-6, 25-14.

Jim Thorpe's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southern Lehigh is set to square off against their familiar foe Northwestern Lehigh at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jim Thorpe will face off against rival Notre Dame-Green Pond at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
