Basketball Game Preview: Lake Marion Gators vs. Bridges Prep Buccaneers

The Lake Marion Gators will square off against the Bridges Prep Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lake Marion is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Whale Branch just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Bridges Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down the Cougars 57-40.

Bridges Prep had a senior duo take command as A Wilson dropped a double-double on 21 points and 17 boards and Q Young dropped a triple-double on 12 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. The contest was Wilson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. C Arroyo was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Bridges Prep pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Lake Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
