Softball Game Preview: James Island Trojans vs. Stall Warriors

The James Island Trojans will square off against the Stall Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

James Island is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Ashley Ridge on Wednesday. They lost 9-1 to the Swamp Foxes.

James Island saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Manchester, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Stall's offense. They came up short against Fort Dorchester on Wednesday, falling 21-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Stall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for James Island, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Everything went James Island's way against Stall in their previous meeting back in March, as James Island made off with a 16-2 victory. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
