Softball Recap: Cholla Comes Up Short

Cholla fell victim to Sahuarita and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 14-0. The Chargers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Cholla's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-9. As for Sahuarita, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Sahuarita will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Ironwood Ridge at 4:00 p.m. Cholla will be paying especially close attention to the Mustangs' matchup: after the Mustangs faces off against the Nighthawks, they'll take on Cholla again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
