Basketball Game Preview: Malone Tigers vs. Ponce De Leon Pirates + How To Watch

Malone is 0-10 against Ponce De Leon since January of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Malone duked it out with Altha on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 34-23. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Malone's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yalaysha Barnes, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Barnes has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played. Anoshua Wesley was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Ponce De Leon played against Emmanuel Christian on Friday and won via forfeit.

Ponce De Leon's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Malone, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Malone ended up a good deal behind Ponce De Leon when the teams last played back in January, losing 52-35. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
