Soccer Game Preview: Millard vs. Gunnison Valley

Millard hasn't had much luck against Gunnison Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Millard had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt South Sevier on Thursday. The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 4-0 shutout. While Millard didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Gunnison Valley got the win against Parowan on Monday by a conclusive 5-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Gunnison Valley's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Gunnison Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Millard, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Millard came up short against Gunnison Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, falling 4-2. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
