Football Recap: Northmor Golden Knights vs. Centerburg Trojans

Northmor had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Centerburg Trojans 39-7 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Golden Knights, who have now won nine matchups by 32 points or more so far this season.

Northmor had a senior duo take command as Jaxson Wenger picked up 151 receiving yards and three touchdowns and AJ Bower threw for 289 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Wenger got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 82 yards. A healthy portion of Bower's aerial production (81 yards to be exact) also went to Bo Landin, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Northmor's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Cameron Goldbach and Ryan Lowry, who racked up six sacks between them.

Northmor pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.1 points per game. As for Centerburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Northmor will face off against Ridgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgewood will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Northmor surely won't give up without a fight. Centerburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
