Softball Recap: White Plains Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cleburne County last Wednesday, White Plains came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Cherokee County Warriors by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

White Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Cherokee County, they pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

White Plains has already played their next game, a 12-8 loss against Alexandria on the 14th. As for Cherokee County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Cleburne County on the 14th.
