Soccer Recap: Rocky Mount Comes Up Short

Rocky Mount was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Fike Golden Demons. That's two games in a row now that Rocky Mount have lost by exactly nine goals.

Rocky Mount's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Fike, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocky Mount will welcome SouthWest Edgecombe at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fike, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northern Nash at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
