Basketball Game Preview: Law Lawmen vs. Hillhouse Academics

The Law Lawmen are taking a road trip to square off against the Hillhouse Academics at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Law was handed a 20-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Career Magnet 60-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lawmen have posted since February 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillhouse). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Wilbur Cross 58-24. The Academics haven't had any issues with the Governors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Hillhouse's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Law, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Law beat Hillhouse 63-52 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Law since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
