Baseball Game Preview: Davenport Broncos vs. Ridge Community Bolts

The Davenport Broncos will face off against the Ridge Community Bolts at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Davenport will be strutting in after a victory while Ridge Community will be coming in after a loss.

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Davenport challenged Wekiva on Friday. Davenport came out on top in a nail-biter against Wekiva, sneaking past 9-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Yomar Feliciano was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Luis Escalera was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Ridge Community didn't have quite enough to beat Central Pointe Christian Academy on Friday and fell 6-4. The Bolts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mathew Conde was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Conde was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Omir Santos made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Davenport's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Ridge Community, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
