Volleyball Game Preview: Bremen Braves vs. Kankakee Kays

The Bremen Braves will venture away from home to challenge the Kankakee Kays at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Bremen had just enough and edged out Blue Island Eisenhower 2-1.

In the two sets Bremen was on fire: they won each by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-13, 25-9.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kankakee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Bloom by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Kays as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Kankakee got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 31-29.

Bremen's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Kankakee, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Bremen beat Kankakee 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
