Baseball Recap: Eldorado Victorious

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Eldorado walked away with an 8-4 victory over Grape Creek. The win made it back-to-back victories for Eldorado.

Jonnie Adame was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Adame was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brindon Gamez, who earned one RBI, one run, and three stolen bases. Another player making a difference was TaShawn Bustos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Eldorado's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Grape Creek, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

Eldorado has already played their next contest, a 5-2 loss against Winters on the 6th. As for Grape Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-4 defeat against Menard on the 6th.
