Football Game Preview: Rector Cougars vs. Corning Bobcats

The Rector Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Corning Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Rector took on Marshall two weeks ago. The Cougars enjoyed a cozy 42-26 victory over the Bobcats. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Corning humbled Tunica Academy with a 58-6 victory. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly 52 points.

The victory got Rector back to even at 1-1. As for Corning, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Rector might still be hurting after the 28-6 loss they got from Corning when the teams last played on September 5th. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
