Volleyball Recap: Good Hope Falls Short of Ashville in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Good Hope can now relate to. They fell just short of the Ashville Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in September of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Evelyn Dole had a dynamite game For Ashville., getting 29 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Dole has posted over her last six contests. Talisha Samaniego was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

Good Hope has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 25-22 record this season. As for Ashville, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 48-6.

Good Hope does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ashville has already played their next matchup (against Madison County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
