Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Shenendehowa couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Plainsmen's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Shenendehowa sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 15-25, 16-14.

Hadley Ennist paced Shenendehowa's offense, picking up seven kills. Ennist got some help from Jessica Macken and her 15 assists. Naveah Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Shenendehowa's defeat dropped their record down to 34-9-3. As for Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Shenendehowa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against John Jay on the 22nd. Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
