Softball Game Preview: West Orange Warriors vs. St. Cloud Bulldogs

The West Orange Warriors will challenge the St. Cloud Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Orange has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while St. Cloud will come in with six straight wins.

West Orange lost 17-4 to Lake Howell on Thursday.

Cali Flowers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Pizzi, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday St. Cloud sidestepped East River for a 4-2 victory.

St. Cloud pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for West Orange, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

West Orange took their win against St. Cloud in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
