Baseball Game Preview: Christian Eagles vs. West Ottawa Panthers

The Christian Eagles will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the West Ottawa Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Christian is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They came up short against South Christian on Friday, falling 19-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Sailors since April 24, 2018.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when West Ottawa faced off against Montague on Friday. West Ottawa sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Montague. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

West Ottawa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abel Anaya, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Chase Gerlach was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.
