Neuse Charter suffers fourth straight loss on the road

Recap: Neuse Charter Cougars vs. Vance Charter Knights

The Neuse Charter Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vance Charter. Neuse Charter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Vance Charter apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Despite the loss, Neuse Charter still got an impressive performance from Jayvin Bradley, who scored 23 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Demonte Jackson, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.

The last time Neuse Charter won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost four straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 2-8. As for Vance Charter, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neuse Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Lenoir at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. North Lenoir knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Neuse Charter likes a good challenge. As for Vance Charter, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Granville Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. Granville Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vance Charter in North Carolina (Granville Central is ranked 176th, while Vance Charter is ranked 386th).
