Softball Recap: Haddon Township Takes a Loss

Haddon Township lost against Gloucester City back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Lions by a score of 6-5. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jordan Strauss put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Strauss wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mikayla Callahan, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Haddon Township's loss dropped their record down to 14-8-1. As for Gloucester City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

As of now, neither Haddon Township nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
