Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marin Catholic). They put the hurt on the Ukiah Wildcats with a sharp 74-48 win on Saturday. Given Marin Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Ukiah is ranked 971st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Ukiah lost, don't look at Kaleo Olson. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryan Todd, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

With the victory, Marin Catholic broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-9. As for Ukiah, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Marin Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-52 win against San Rafael on the 7th. As for Ukiah, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-42 victory against Healdsburg on the 8th.
