Basketball Recap: Saint James Wins Going Away Against Chapelgate Christian Academy

While Saint James didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets 46-23 on Tuesday. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Saint James found their leader in sophomore Tenley Mullendore, who posted 19 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Mullendore is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabrina Gladchuk, who earned four points.

Saint James' win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Saint James will take on Fort Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Saint James' defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so Fort Hill's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge The Gunston School at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
