Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Montgomery Mustangs vs. Parry McCluer Fighting Blues

Eastern Montgomery hasn't had much luck against Parry McCluer recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eastern Montgomery Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Eastern Montgomery will bounce into Monday's game after beating Bland County, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Eastern Montgomery walked away with a 51-39 win over Bland County on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Parry McCluer entered their tilt with Narrows on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top against the Green Waves by a score of 77-70.

Parry McCluer's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points over those games. As for Eastern Montgomery, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Things could have been worse for Eastern Montgomery, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took an 89-75 loss to Parry McCluer when the teams last played last Wednesday. Can Eastern Montgomery avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
