Football Game Preview: Grassfield Grizzlies vs. Oscar Smith Tigers + How To Watch

Grassfield is 0-10 against Oscar Smith since September of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Grizzlies will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Grassfield has given up an average of 54.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Grassfield is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Great Bridge on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Grizzlies took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 62-20. That's two games in a row now that the Grizzlies have lost by exactly 42 points.

Meanwhile, Oscar Smith entered their tilt with Deep Creek on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Hornets 48-10. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Hornets are ranked 139th).

Grassfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Oscar Smith, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Grassfield was taken down by Oscar Smith 41-0 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Grizzlies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
