Baseball Recap: Cassville Comes Up Short

Cassville came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-4 to the Lamar Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since May 9, 2024.

Cassville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Lamar, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cassville will take on Monett at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Cubs at the right time seeing as the Cubs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lamar, they will venture away from home to take on Nevada at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nevada will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lamar surely won't give up without a fight.
