The matchup between Northeast and Tarpon Springs on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Northeast Vikings put the hurt on the Tarpon Springs Spongers with a sharp 8-1 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by five goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Tarpon Springs from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Ramiyah Clay led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Northeast pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three matchups. As for Tarpon Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-1 record this season.
