After flying high against Riverdale last Friday, Mineral Point came back down to earth. The Mineral Point Pointers took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belleville Wildcats on Monday. The Pointers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Mineral Point's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Belleville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Mineral Point and Belleville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. Mineral Point (ranked 83rd) will meet Boscobel (ranked 406th) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mineral Point is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Belleville will challenge Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 229 places (91 vs. 320).
