            Softball Recap: St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs vs. Healdsburg Greyhounds        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for St. Vincent de Paul, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-3  victory over the Healdsburg Greyhounds  on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.
 Makayla Bignardi made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She also put up four  hits, which were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  RBI and one  double.

 In other batting news,  Gracie Murphy was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Maddy Rynning was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
The  win  got St. Vincent de Paul back to even at 2-2. As for Healdsburg, their defeat was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 4-2.
 St. Vincent de Paul has already played their next matchup,  a  19-2  victory against Santa Rosa on the 27th. As for Healdsburg, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  10-2  win against Kelseyville on the 29th.
