Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alhambra). Everything went their way against the San Gabriel Matadors on Monday as they made off with a 22-1 victory. Considering the Moors have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Enicio Torres, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Yuuta Ngo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

Alhambra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .596. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Alhambra has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for San Gabriel, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Alhambra will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Matadors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
