Baseball Game Preview: Roseburg Indians vs. Grants Pass Cavemen

Roseburg has gone 8-2 against Grants Pass recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Indians will welcome the Cavemen at 12:00 p.m. Roseburg's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Grants Pass' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Roseburg had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt South Eugene on Tuesday. The Indians put the hurt on the Axe with a sharp 13-3 win. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Axe recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Grants Pass and North Medford, and Grants Pass kept the tradition alive. The Cavemen had just enough and edged out the Black Tornado 3-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cavemen have posted against the Black Tornado since April 16, 2022.

Grants Pass has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Roseburg, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
