Basketball Game Preview: University Titans vs. Ridgeline Falcons

University and Ridgeline are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2022, but not for long. The University Titans will be playing at home against the Ridgeline Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, University was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 70-64 to Mt. Spokane. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Wildcats are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ridgeline's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Mead 61-57.

University has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Ridgeline, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

University ended up a good deal behind Ridgeline when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 65-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ridgeline's Caden Andreas, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 25 points.
