Volleyball Recap: Durand-Arkansaw Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Durand-Arkansaw faced off against Eleva-Strum on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Durand-Arkansaw sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-14, 13-25, 15-12.

Kennedy Garner paced Durand-Arkansaw's offense, picking up five kills. Garner got some help from Gabby Sailer and her 13 assists. Sailer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Pelke, racking up two apiece.

Durand-Arkansaw's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Durand-Arkansaw and Eleva-Strum will both be playing Fall Creek the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Crickets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
