After a string of three wins, Regis Jesuit's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Highlands Ranch Falcons by a score of 3-2. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Regis Jesuit came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 26-24, 25-22, 23-25, 15-13.

Callen Wolf paced Regis Jesuit's offense, picking up 15 kills. Wolf really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 25. Finally, Jackson Feik and Jon Paul Just kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highlands Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Toerber, who had 12 digs. Those 12 digs gave Toerber a new career-high.

Regis Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Highlands Ranch, their win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-16.

Regis Jesuit has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Castle View on the 29th. As for Highlands Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Rangeview on the 24th.
