Softball Recap: Mahwah Comes Up Short

After flying high against Union City on Saturday, Mahwah came back down to earth. The Thunderbirds took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Hills Braves on Monday. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Mahwah's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Indian Hills, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Mahwah will square off against Pascack Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian Hills, they will welcome Immaculate Heart Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves are on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Blue Eagles a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
