Garland Christian Academy skates past Highlands with ease

Recap: Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen vs. Highlands Blazers

The Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season. They really took it to Highlands for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-13 victory on the road. The victory was nothing new for Garland Christian Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Garland Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andie Sandlin, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Grace Wood, who scored 15 points.

Garland Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Highlands, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wylie Prep Academy the next time they take the court. Garland Christian Academy will head out to face Wylie Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Highlands will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
