Basketball Game Preview: Woodlawn Cardinals vs. Webber Trojans

Woodlawn is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Webber is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Woodlawn Cardinals will host the Webber Trojans at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Woodlawn was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Trico. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cardinals came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Pioneers are ranked 536th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Webber). Everything went their way against Grayville on Friday as Webber made off with an 85-61 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Woodlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Webber, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
