Baseball Recap: Dallastown Wildcats vs. Northeastern Bobcats
Dallastown lost a close one when they played last Monday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 12-2 walloping at the hands of the Northeastern Bobcats. Dallastown was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northeastern apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
Dallastown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Meyer, who went 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI.
On Northeastern's side, they got a great performance from Drew Barshinger as he struck out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Barshinger has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Zack Ball was incredible, going 3-for-3 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs. Ryan Wilson was another key contributor, going 3-for-3 with three RBI and a double.
