Volleyball Game Preview: San Dieguito Academy Mustangs vs. Westview Wolverines

The San Dieguito Academy Mustangs will challenge the Westview Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

San Dieguito Academy is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since March 11th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Canyon Crest Academy. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, San Dieguito Academy had strong showings from Noah Ansaldo, who had 13 digs and one assist, and Robbie Hacker, who had nine assists and five digs. Ansaldo is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Meanwhile, Westview came up short against Canyon Crest Academy on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Westview ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-18.

San Dieguito Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Westview, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-13.
