Volleyball Recap: Lake Area HomeSchool Sports Takes a Loss

The Lake Area HomeSchool Sports Wildcats came up short against the Word of God Academy Force on Friday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Lake Area HomeSchool Sports was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Word of God Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-16, 25-17.

Kallie Pizarro went supernova For Word of God Academy., getting 26 digs and four aces. Those 26 digs gave Pizarro a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Journie Palmer, who had five digs and three aces.

Lake Area HomeSchool Sports' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Word of God Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Area HomeSchool Sports will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Open Door Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Word of God Academy, they will face off against Northeast Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
