Basketball Game Preview: Brazos Cougars vs. Wharton Tigers + Official Tickets

The Brazos Cougars will head out to challenge the Wharton Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Brazos will be strutting in after a win while Wharton will be coming in after a loss.

While Cougars fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They put the hurt on Palacios with a sharp 60-40 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Wharton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fayetteville on Tuesday.

Brazos will have to contain J'Dynn Lewis as he made an impact in Wharton's last game. He posted 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Javien Smith, who had 11 points and three steals.
