Volleyball Game Preview: Agoura Chargers vs. Thousand Oaks Lancers

The Agoura Chargers will head out to square off against the Thousand Oaks Lancers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Agoura is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Oaks Christian just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Chargers have suffered since September 11th.

Agoura was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Thousand Oaks faced Marin Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lancers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Thousand Oaks' loss dropped their record down to 25-2. As for Agoura, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-4.

Agoura might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Thousand Oaks in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
