Basketball Recap: Cottage Hill Christian Academy Triumphs

Cottage Hill Christian Academy lost to McIntosh back in January of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors came out on top against the McIntosh Demons by a score of 68-60.

When it comes to explaining why McIntosh lost, don't look at Corey Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. McIntosh is 2-1 when Williams posts eight or more boards, but 5-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kyler Dixon, who posted 15 points.

Cottage Hill Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for McIntosh, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cottage Hill Christian Academy will head out to square off against Bayside Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cottage Hill Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Bayside Academy likes a good challenge. McIntosh has already played their next contest (against Leroy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
