Miamisburg is 8-2 against Northmont since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Miamisburg Vikings will square off against the Northmont Thunderbolts at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Miamisburg and four for Northmont.

Miamisburg is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Wayne on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Miamisburg came up short against Wayne, falling 54-33. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Warriors are ranked 161st).

Meanwhile, Northmont lost 63-43 to Wayne on Saturday. The Thunderbolts were down 57-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Northmont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Miamisburg, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Miamisburg strolled past Northmont in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 51-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miamisburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
