Baseball Game Preview: Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins vs. Impact Academy of Arts & Technology Spartans

After both having extra time off, the Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins and the Impact Academy of Arts & Technology Spartans will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mare Island Tech Academy has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Mare Island Tech Academy came up short against Valley Christian and fell 11-7.

Meanwhile, Impact Academy of Arts & Technology was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Leadership Public Schools Richmond, falling 16-9. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Spartans' highest-scoring game to date.

Mare Island Tech Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Impact Academy of Arts & Technology, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Mare Island Tech Academy took their win against Impact Academy of Arts & Technology in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 21-1 score. Will the Griffins repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
