The Elkhart Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Northridge Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkhart will be strutting in after a win while Northridge will be coming in after a loss.
Elkhart's tournament run continued when they took on Muncie Burris on Saturday. The Lions put the hurt on the Owls with a sharp 3-0 victory.
While Elkhart won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 27-25.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Elkhart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Polack, who had 11 kills and four digs. That's the most kills Polack has posted over her last ten matches. Ava Walker was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.
Northridge had taken Concord down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Raiders fell 2-0 to the Minutemen.
The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-23.
Elkhart will have to keep a close watch on Molly Nickell and Augist Wood, a pair of players who had a big impact on Northridge's prior game. Nickell had 15 digs, while Wood had six digs. Nickell has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.
Northridge's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-8. As for Elkhart, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Elkhart has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7 aces per game. However, it's not like Northridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Elkhart took their victory against Northridge in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
