Soccer Game Preview: Northwestern vs. Rock Hill

The Northwestern Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Rock Hill Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northwestern has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 23.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Fort Mill who was credited with the win on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Northwestern's three.

Rock Hill fell victim to Nation Ford and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Rock Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Nation Ford are ranked 14th).

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Northwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Northwestern might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Rock Hill in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
